Nice, there is progress, and an admin who cares about his users.

Awesome depth and very realistic. Only thing missing is more managers, but it is brand new game and it will come for sure.

This GAME SUCKS!!!!
The managers already there have the advantage. Not for the short-term players.

Worst sim ever. Can find anything on the page, a lot of bugs.

...If bugs are found inside the game, the developers fix them as soon as possible, mostly within hours

Decent game. New and pretty fun. One of the better american football management games out there.

Cracking game getting into it is quick and easy. There is so much depth to keep the hardened fan playing for a long time.

Bugs are fixed quickly and the opinions of the players really matter.

I'm addicted

Perfect with great depth and as already mentioned an Admin who really cares of all the ideas, problems, suggestions and input of the users. Great community with many, many users to help especially to get started with this complex game full of fun.

Very in-depth game that has a lot to offer as far as coaching/managing goes. Definitely the best football manager that is out there right now. I would strongly suggest this to anyone that is interested in playing- all we need now is more managers!

The game has a lot of problems. ME is crap, xfer market is a joke, and the admin does everything he can to protect his friends. Movement in the league is almost nil because of bad decisions by the admin. Do yourself a favor and spend the $20 for FRONT OFFICE FOOTBALL and save yourself a waste of time and frustration.

Best football sim on the net. Great depth and long-term team development.

Strongly recommended.

No receiving backs, no blocking other than OL, no pass rushing DTs, etc - mediocrity at it's best! At least it's free.

Plenty of depth and worth a look if you want a game to get your teeth into. Yes there are some flaws, but the admin is efficient, friendly, and constantly tweaking and improving. With a growing, friendly, loyal community and lots of long term appeal, this gets the thumbs up from me.

Game purely build for subscribers.
The gameplay have little to do with tactics, but is purely about earning the most money to buy the best players. And having atleast 30-60 min for each player you hope to buy, once you get tired of bot bashing.

Despite the admins clear intent to make it a money/time manager instead of a football managing game. Most managers are very friendly. If you intent to play for realism or to be competitive this is not a good game. But if you just want to play with a friendly community this is a fine game, hang in there for 4-6 months and you might get to play the friendly faces in more then friendly matches.

Hi yall. Im pretty new in this game- only om my second season. I recognize some of the strong words above as true - it is a money grind for a very long time in the startup process. And you should t do much else than build up your stadium and grind for money again.. If you feel like trying to hire a coach or a great player youll find yourself ruined pretty fast. So ffirst 3 seasons is actually all about building stadium. And for a NOT-hardcore but only regular fan its pretty hard to grasp all the aspects of the game. Explanations and manual is is lacking definitions on what effect ei skills will have at positions and which are needed and so on...... BUT with that beeing said - i find the game very fun and capturing. And im actually learning a lot about football ;-) all in all a very good game with a lot of depth!

Horrible game, played it for more then half a year. Because I love football. But admins is all about talk and no action.
No realism.
Tactics don't matter, sell your best players and upgrade the weaker spots with cheap old players.
If you have the 20 weekly hours for this, then you can go compete in the top like I did. But for actual football tactics it seem to never come to matter.
Game is in a beta stage at best. But you still have to pay full price for sh*t.

Game is what you make it.
Simulated players means football year round,
which makes the game MORE fun than having an NFL fantasy team.

Great fun... until you reach the top level and realise it's "dead man's shoes", e.g. you'll only ever be able to compete when people who started the game before you give up and leave. You'll NEVER got on a competitive level playing field with them if they started in season 1, so why bother to get there?
2013-04-25 16:46:27 MTS72 (unregistered) IP: 2.126.*.*
above post not true at all - i started in Season 4 (only in Season 8 now) and ive steadily built my team to the point where i am competitive with the top teams - making the playoffs in the top flight in Season 7 and beating other teams - better rated than mine - along the way! It can be done with and doesnt take that long. Constantly being updated with new features all that give the game more equality and longevity - its easily the best for any person with a love of American Football.
2013-04-28 15:29:19 MTS1972 (unregistered) IP: 2.126.*.*
i think you'll find you are being criticised because you are misrepresenting the game. It is not perfect - no game is - but many managers look for quick success and solutions by jumping in without properly reading the assistance very clearly given - in this case an in game manual. which is available to all players - all of whom must complete an initial license to get the basics of the game. But all too often new players forget this is a management game - not an arcade game - and they spend all money on players at the start then wonder why they get into trouble. Penalties are harsh - but they are there for a reason and are well explained - its to stop people doing it in the first place. If you fall foul of this it is YOUR fault - not the games - and thats why you are being flamed, because you blame everything other than who is actually to blame - which is yourself. You dont like it - fine - but dont slag it off and expect to get no reaction when what you are saying is wholly inaccurate.
2013-04-29 15:27:06 Moose (unregistered) IP: 71.30.*.*
You are Misunderstanding. The Game should not be set up to take your best players from you without compensation. If you fall into debt, and you lose a player because of it, you should be given fair compensation for that player instead of just taking the player, and you remaining in the exact same debt that caused you to lose that player. I lost 4 or 5 players just for going into debt less than 10 million. those players sold in the transfer market were worth (at that time) combined over 150 Million. If you don't believe there is anything wrong with that...then I don't know what to tell you.
2013-04-30 15:59:00 Drake88 (unregistered) IP: 67.55.*.*
It may be just me (though I seriously doubt it) but I believe that this game doesn't deserve it's place. There are so many bugs that never get fixed. Engine sux, what you set isn't always what you see on the field.
2013-05-01 11:35:53 Pete (unregistered) IP: 84.180.*.*
@Moose: how about writing a suggestion containing a good idea how to make it better instead just having bad mood. As always, good suggestions find a majority of supporters, and these suggestions mostly come true. Check our ToDo list, if you don't believe it

@Drake88: Really? Bugs never get fixed? You probably never played the game, nor did you see how fast we try to fix errors, once we see them. You find bugs? We even pay to you for posting them, since 1.5 years...

We are really proud of our response times. Check that by yourself.
2013-05-01 14:25:13 Moose (unregistered) IP: 71.30.*.*
I Gave a few good suggestions. Good suggestions get tossed in the "Vote by committee" BS and then get thrown away. I assure you the current Debt system was never voted on, just implemented. Or childish players voted againt the suggestion. I no longer play the game. Mainly because all I suggested fell on deaf ears. The programmers need to show some initiative, and not let the community dictate and run everything.
2013-05-01 15:24:41 Footballcrack (unregistered) IP: 50.7.*.*
It is by far not the admins fault, or even the games fault, if you are not able to read the given manual, Moose. It seems to me you are just a poor disappointed individual not knowing about simple rules of management. Blame yourself for not understanding the ease of gameplay in RedZoneAction.

Been at this game for about a year and I still find it fun to play. Most managers on the forums are helpful, and try to help you out. In just the short time i've been playing I have seen improvements made. Just know that it will take a long time to be on a competive level with the veterans that started with the game. I have a long way to go to get there, but it is part of the fun for me.
If you read the manual and ask questions you should be fine.

Joined near end of June. So far the game is incredibly addicting and the veteran managers are helpful on trying to keep you on the right track. A lot of features, semi steep learning curve (although nothing very difficult just time intensive). I highly recommend the game.

I know this sounds pathetic but I stopped playing the game because I could not stand the names given to the players and staff. Playing my first full season. Love the game and the community. Depth of game means it will be a season or two more before I am really competitive, but the time spent is worth it as I am developing roster, youth players, playbook and training strategy. I see me playing this a long time, as developers are improving all aspects of game every month.

Great game, would like to see more with size of players and weight to effect positioning and play sequences. Also, more emphasis on Running backs catching passes and QB's optioning the run so acquiring a good speed, agility and carrying would make sense to feature a running QB, Kind of like RG3 of the skins. Thank you for the time to create for others..

Game is ok at best. Seems to try and keep players busy by cramming as much as possible into the game week, which is probably nice if you're a big fan of the game but makes things too unrealistic for me to enjoy. Page layouts really made me dread performing routine tasks. I guess the high rating is the result of offering in-game incentives for players to give the game high votes.
2014-04-10 20:33:44 mishagi (unregistered) IP: 181.29.*.*
I have been playing these types of browser sports mmo´s for a while now, probably 5-6 years. In order for this games to be good they have to be deep enough to justify logging in almost every day, for a little bit, but have to balance this out by not MAKING you have to log in everyday.
I think Red Zone Action achieves this balance really nicely, and since having signed up has been a really great experience!
The community is present, and most people will gladly help you out (myself included, my user name is mishagi).
The only drawback, which really isnt, is that YOU HAVE TO LIKE AMERICAN FOOTBALL, otherwise dont join, because you have to understand the rules and positions :)
Overall I would give it an 8, because there is a lot of thing to improve like user interface, but most definitely up there with all the other games on this site, if not better.
Probably the best thing is that the longer you play the more addicted you become, because you start picking up on details and polishing your team further for that W!
Very recommendable, specially if you have a couple of gap minutes between, work, commuting, or school, this is a great time filler!
I try to make y reviews reasonable, and try to capture new members without lying and telling it as it is :)

This game is addictive. There is plenty to keep you busy from game planning to training and drafting. The developer cares about the game and improvements are being made. FYI...this is a long term game so it will take a while to have a decent team. Always look to the future as to what your team will need when drafting and traning players in the youth academy.

I enjoy this game. This game is for someone who has the patience to build a team. If you have no patience and don't enjoy sports management fantasy, then stay away. I think it's a well-built, very enjoyable game!

Excellent game and very absorbing. Great detail that allows a player to really get involved in building a great team.

Played for about a year. Game Day is actually immersive and awesome.

Though I like the powerful stats central feature, your released players are often renamed and given a new country of origin in order to be recycled into bot teams, and these changes are reflected in the stats, rendering the entire all-time stats section meaningless.

That part sucks. Still, have to rate it "best"...

It is not immersive and awesome! It is superficial and therefore boring. Need football? Get Front Office Football Seven! Red Zone Action is a childish gimmick.

Not good!
Plenty of suggestions but the developer makes only kid stuff. And that's what this game is, kid stuff, no simulation!
Andrea is right, get FOF7!
Don`t wast your time with this.

Patience. Playbook. Personnel. I have been playing redzoneaction.org over two years. I am still 100% invested in this game, and the community in forums have always been helpful and insightful. Anxious for even more years playing redzoneaction.org! ---Xeno72

Unrealistic game, nothing like Football whatsoever.

A boring game, existed for 20+ seasons now and nothing has improved.

Don't waste your time playing this game.

Really indepth game with loads of areas to keep you busy. Well thought out and way way way better then gridiron.org. This game actually makes a manager with knowledge be able to play and guide his team, unlike the lame game mentioned above. Well done. : )
In Gridiron.org about 6-8 people control the whole game and if you get on the wrong side of any of them they make your playing experience terrible

Enjoy the game very much. Best NFL management sim I've found.

Friendly community too that are very helpful to new players.

Fantastic game. I am involved in it everyday and will be playing it for years. Very addictive once you get into it. A bit daunting at first but you pick it up very quickly and the online community are happy to give advice.

I play plenty of sports management sims online, this is one of a few I buy a subscription for. Addicting.

Recently lots of weird changes have been made damaging the game, futhermore a feature called "Mediacenter" spurs other users to spam and annoy you with plenty of useless and unwanted mails. The overall quality of this game is going down.

Red Zone Action is an amazing game that allows you to manage an online sports team. I would not recommend this game to older adults because it is SUPER ADDICTING.

Beside some other issues, on game day there are no injuries and no penalties. This is certainly no football!

Of course there are injuries. You are right for the penalties...

Clunky game. Right, no injuries on game day, LOL!
And the math of the engine is puplic.
No football feel.

this game is a stattos dream!

there is an extensive manual, an active forum.

You need to build your team which takes some time and dedication. Find players, train them, hire coaches, manage your stadium and training facilities, and make various economic choices to make your club profitable. It's a very deep management experience, and yes it takes time to figure it all out.
