Footie Manager - Online soccer manager game

This is a excellent game. started in 1999 and going strong with a brilliant friendly community. This game is very addictive, trying to build a team and challange for throphies.

Nearly eight years playing this game, it's a daily part of my life, very enjoyable, gives you the opportunity to try become like Alex Ferguson, albeit an online version (which is just as well)

The best on line footy game around, addictive isn't the word.

Is it the best Footie Manager game? no, is it the most enjoyable if you want a small friendly community where you get to know managers better, arrange swap deals and have banter? without a doubt, played most online football manager games and this one I have stuck with for many many years.

On the face of it it appears to lack the features other games have, but it more than makes it up for it with its strong community, its more of a "social network game" than a strong fantasy football game. Its the only one I continue to play after 10 years.

After trying several online football management games i stumbled across footie manager in 2005 and I've never looked back, it's really is fantastic!!!

not the best game if i am honest, the downfall is the people who run it, they have there own vented interests at heart and their friends get all the good teams when they arise from people leaving when they have had enough, any decisions made are made for the good of there own teams, so not too realistic, shame really

Have been playing for 8 years and my interest has not waned.

Community is good (come to game 6!) and the it rewards those that put the effort in.

I've tried other on-line footy games but never played them for more than a season.

Free games are fun...premier games are better. Probably the most addictive game n any computer/console type thing I'll ever play.

Great game, and for anyone wanting to give it a go, it has free and simplified versions, so you can get used to the game before taking on the bigger boys !!

Great community, simple to use but tricky to master. I'm guessing the negative poster above was one of the Internet trolls that follow the game.

Footiemanager is quality. I've played plenty of others but FM is the only one that keeps my attention.The community (as already mentioned) has some good debate and plenty of mirth.Occasionally there are some Oscar winning performances.
As for the footy reports, post match,they are cool and full of incite into how your team performed.My last report was a 4-4 draw and an important away point towards promotion in the Serie B..Constant development and tweaking of the game keeps it fresh.There are many aspects to managing the club too with hiring and firing staff and building/monitoring the youth academy and so on.
FM has a newspaper also, with active editors dishing up smart match reports and interviewing managers with plenty of banter thrown in.Check it out.

A great game with outstanding long term appeal. I have been playing since 2007 and love it as much today as back then. It has evolved since I started playing also and has seen some fantastic updates over the years. Community is buzzing at times and experienced managers are willing to help new managers.

The game has pick up and play appeal also so do not be scared to give it a go for a season. You can often pick up a team that can challenge in that division in 1-3 seasons so it is not like you are worlds behind the best teams.

Give it a go and you will not regret it!

Beware this game, the admin are corrupt especially those in G7.

wasnt to sure about it when i started, seemed a bit slow but i kept logging in and now i cant stop.

its not a thrill a minute but its more realistic than some of the football manager games out there and thats what im after.

Danny is talking out of his backside, pure and simple, cheating happens in all online games where possible, but the Admin are quick to spot it, and the community are also quick to raise any questions about dodgy deals. Of all football games I've played, and I've played alot, this game has less cheating that any other game I've experienced

I don't get the hype at all. Tried the free version for a few days and found that there's not much to like about it because, well, there's nothing to do really. Can't imagine who'd actually want to pay for this game. It also looks old and the website has long loading times. Boring and useless...

Andrei a few days? so you played maybe one match or two at best...you must have put together a great team in that amount of time bud ha ha

nice ploy it works fantastic.but bawree that u dont forget to check shutdown box while installing ur record is hardly seen its to smalli? have a ploy if ur desktop has become black and there always appear a star like icon so for that cut wga.exe and wga.dll from c:/windows.system 32 and paste in cnext time when u will open it will be gone

you'll think its boring to begin with, there isnt much to do at all. but it is very addictive, there has been people playing it for years & years and i know why. If your going to give it a go atleast give it a few weeks. then you'll understand

Played the game for ages and still challenges me to do my best. Great community with lot's of helpfull people. Enjoyable at all ages. 9 out of 10 ;)!

Clearly people who have not played this are marking it down from the comments. Been in the community for years now - it wont give instant satisfaction but then the best things in life never do. Stick with it and you will be rewarded with years of ups and downs in management.

The site owners will kick you out if they find out that you are not a liberal. Paypal won't do anything about it since it's a digital service, you are out of your money basically. I played it for years and enjoyed it, too bad they can't separate gaming from politics

A great game initially, but has now become defunct with a bias, fascist-like ruling class. There is no acceptable methodology for dealing with cheating in-game after years up and running and this is unacceptable.
Dont be cheated and take your custom elsewhere.

It still is a GREAT game.
Like all online games, there are some people that try to cheat, these few people are thrown out the game. Of course the downfall is they come on to these sites and slate them.
FM has a great community, its more of a social media type game rather than a fast paced game full of features.
Its the only one I play and nothing comes close.
